Americana Mahj began, quite simply, around the table.

I’ve always believed that the way we gather matters—the details, the setting, the feeling of something thoughtfully put together. Mahjong has, for so many of us, become a huge part of that experience and I found myself wanting a version of the game that felt more aligned with how we live and entertain today.

What started as an idea quickly became a pursuit: to create sets that felt elevated yet inviting, rooted in tradition but with a fun, modern American point of view that makes everyone who plays feel welcome. Not "mahjong for men"- but mahjong for everyone.

Each design is intentional. Every detail considered. Not just for how it plays, but for how it lives on the table and in the home.

Founded in Kansas, Americana Mahj reflects the friendly, grounded spirit of the heartland—where people gather often, stay longer, and take pride in the experience they create.
